Participants will gain practical strategies for designing flexible, engaging online learning environments that balance enrichment and support for twice-exceptional students. Drawing on Bridges Academy Online’s synchronous, student-centered model, this session shares how educators can embed social-emotional learning, executive functioning, and academic rigor within a vibrant virtual community of intellectual peers. In BAO’s classrooms, dual differentiation means offering both acceleration and scaffolded support through engaging curriculum that values student voice, choice, and curiosity, including deep dives, collaboration, rich discussion, and hands-on creative learning. The Academic Support & Advisory program connects each student with an advisor who coordinates with teachers, counselors, and the college guidance team to align academic and social-emotional growth. The online environment itself is collaborative, interactive, and a psychologically safe space, cultivating authentic community, connection, and belonging where 2e students are truly seen and heard for their strengths and potential.
