This session shares a powerful project-based learning model used with gifted learners to transform them from high achievers into meaningful change agents. Grounded in Cambridge AS Global Perspectives (9239), UN Sustainable Development Goals and Xplorlabs safety science and sustainability pathways, learners investigate complex local issues (such as fire safety, e-waste, or thermal runaway) through research, stakeholder engagement, and action planning. Attendees will learn a practical framework for guiding learners from inquiry to impact, including how to scaffold research, connect global lenses to local relevance, and support learners in designing legacy-driven outcomes that serve their communities. This approach not only ensures gifted learners are seen and heard, but also activated—equipped with the tools, voice, and purpose to leave a lasting contribution beyond the classroom. Participants will leave with materials to launch their own action-oriented inquiry projects.
